Rhodes Scholarship
Diocesan College has its own designated Rhodes Scholarship which dates back to 1902. The following are eligible to apply:
- Former students (of at least one year) from Bishops, Leap 1 School, St Cyprians, Herschel, and St George’s Grammar School
- The sons and daughters of members of present and past academic and support staff of designated schools, who have served the school for at least five years
- The sons and daughters of present and past parents of designated schools, who have had a child at the school for at least five years
- The sons and daughters of present and past members of Council at designated schools, who have served the school for at least five years
- The sons and daughters of ODs and former alumni of the designated schools, provided they were educated in South Africa for at least five years

Applications open in June each year, and the closing date is 15 August. The scholarship is advertised via the Rhodes Trust, the schools themselves, and the OD Website. Information evenings are conducted by Bishops and the Trust. For more details, contact:

The Mary Gray Studentship is awarded to a Grade 12 student at Bishops. The selection process is conducted with the assistance of the Senior Tutor from St John’s College, Cambridge.
